Descrizione:Adamantyl urea is a compound that has been shown to have inhibitory properties on the growth of myeloma cells. Adamantyl urea has been shown to inhibit the transfer reactions of nuclear DNA and mitochondrial functions in vitro assays. Adamantyl urea also inhibited the growth of wild-type strains, but not resistant mutants, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of nucleic acids or proteins. This agent also inhibits dextran sulfate and rutamycin, which may indicate that it acts by inhibiting structural analysis or diagnosis. Adamantyl urea is being studied for use as an anti-cancer drug in vivo models.
