• Descrizione: 2-Aminoethanethiol HCl is an organosulfur compound used in the treatment of cystinosis. Cystinosis is a rare autosomal recessive metabolic disorder that leads to the accumulation of cysteine and other amino acids in the lysosomes of cells. 2-Aminoethanethiol HCl is also used for the treatment of enteritidis, a disease caused by infection with bacteria such as Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae, or Escherichia coli. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in vitro and in experimental models.
