Descrizione:H-beta-Ala-Phe-OH is a synthetic dipeptide that is positioned at the C terminus of the l-phenylalanine residue. It has two residues, H and beta-Ala, which are connected by a peptide bond between the carboxyl group of beta-Ala and the amino group of phenylalanine. The crystallographic structure of this molecule shows that it adopts a helical conformation with hydrogen bonds between adjacent helices. This water-soluble molecule has been shown to have antihypertensive properties in animal studies.
