Descrizione:H-D-Ala-D-Phe-OH hydrate is a peptidomimetic that mimics the structure of the dipeptide L-amino acid. It is unstable in aqueous solution and rapidly hydrolyzes to release H 2 O and D-Ala. The hydrolysis occurs more rapidly in alkaline conditions and may be accelerated by protonation. This compound has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on intestinal cells, but has not been tested in other cell types. H-D-Ala-D-Phe-OH hydrate is an amide with bioisosteres and stereoselectivity. It also has two isomers, which differ from one another only by the configuration of their side chains at C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6 positions. This compound does not have any adverse effects on intestinal cells when used for prolonged periods of time.
