Informazioni sul prodotto
APD597 is a potent and selective inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) that has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity in preclinical models. It is a tautomeric compound, which means that one of the two forms interconverts rapidly with the other form. APD597 was originally developed as a potential treatment for chronic kidney disease, but Phase 2 clinical studies have shown that it also has beneficial effects on metabolic disorders such as insulin resistance. In addition to its DPP-IV inhibitory effect, APD597 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in human serum, and may be useful for the treatment of conditions such as inflammatory diseases or obesity.
