• Descrizione: 3-Amino-5-hydroxybenzoic acid is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial DNA and blocking the synthesis of proteins. 3-Amino-5-hydroxybenzoic acid is used for the treatment of pandemic influenza, as well as autoimmune diseases. It has been shown to be active against a wide range of bacterial strains, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). 3-Amino-5-hydroxybenzoic acid blocks the production of ethylmalonic acid, which is necessary for the biosynthesis of malonic acid. This in turn prevents the synthesis of fatty acids and protein production.
