Tyrosinase activity was inhibited in the presence of 1-(2-Amino-3-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone and its analogs, which may be due to the inhibition of tyrosinase activity. This product can be used as an alternative to hydroquinone in the treatment of skin disorders caused by hyperpigmentation such as age spots and liver spots.
