This compound also has the ability to inhibit the proliferation of human liver cancer cells. 5-Amino-2-fluoropyridine is thought to have anticancer activity by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis and IGF production through chemical reactions with tissues, including fatty acids, which are important for tumor growth.
