Descrizione:Aspoxicillin is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of penicillin-related antibiotics. It is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed in vivo to aspoxicillin acid, its active form. Aspoxicillin has good pharmacokinetic properties and can be used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The MICs for aspoxicillin are 0.03-0.12 µg/mL against Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, respectively. Aspoxicillin also has a tissue infection spectrum that includes skin infections, septicemia, meningitis, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
