Ar-13324 hydrochloride is a novel small molecule that inhibits the death of cells through apoptosis. It binds to the TNF receptor and prevents the activation of NF-κB, which is a protein complex that regulates genes involved in cell survival, growth, and inflammation. Ar-13324 hydrochloride also induces cell death by inhibiting protein synthesis. The compound is active against multidrug resistant cancer cells and can be used for the treatment of various types of cancers. Ar-13324 hydrochloride has been shown to induce apoptosis in mcf-7 breast cancer cells via an extrusion process, which may be mediated by conformational changes in proteins.
