Acetone 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone is a molecule belonging to group P2 with the chemical formula CH3COCH2CH2N(O)C6H4NH. Acetone 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone is used as an analytical reagent in the detection of fertility and has been shown to have reactive properties. This compound has also been shown to be cytotoxic in cancer cells. It is also known to be a carbon source for fatty acids and a natural compound that exhibits biological properties. Acetone 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone has been studied by supramolecular chemistry and autophagy, which are molecular mechanisms that are involved in the regulation of cell death.
