• Descrizione: 4-Amino-3-chloro-a-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]methyl]-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzenemethanol (4ACBEM) is a fluorescent probe for the detection of intracellular Ca2+ levels. It binds to ryanodine receptors in the plasma membrane and can be used as a marker for Ca2+ mobilization in cells. 4ACBEM is used in flow cytometry and has been shown to bind to human serum albumin and other proteins with high affinity. The pharmacokinetics of 4ACBEM has been studied in rats, showing that it is eliminated by hepatic metabolism. This compound has also been shown to have no toxic effects on fetal bovine liver cells in vitro, although it does exhibit some interactions with the matrix that are dependent on the concentration of Ca2+.
