Descrizione:Amezinium methyl sulfate is a drug that is used to treat congestive heart failure. It inhibits the enzyme renin, which is needed for angiotensin II formation. Amezinium methyl sulfate also reduces the production of natriuretic peptides and lowers blood pressure. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating diabetic neuropathy, but has not been studied extensively in this area. Amezinium methyl sulfate can be administered by intravenous or intra-arterial routes and requires a sample preparation before administration. The half-life of amezinium methyl sulfate is 3 hours and it is metabolized through glucuronidation.
