Descrizione:C.I.Azoic Coupling Component 16 (CACC16) is a component of the enzyme glutathione reductase, which catalyzes the reduction of glutathione disulfide to glutathione and dithionite. It is used in control experiments to determine the effects of environmental factors on enzyme activity. This molecule has been shown to be localized in the vacuole of cells and may play a role in lysis reactions. CACC16's activity can be inhibited by sulphatases and phosphatases, which are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of sulphate or phosphate groups from substances, respectively. Using techniques such as Western blotting, it has been shown that CACC16 is expressed in animals including humans, rats, chickens, and rabbits.
