Ammonium chloride is a salt of ammonium and chloride. It is used in wastewater treatment as a coagulant, to remove suspended solids from the water. Ammonium chloride also has an effect on the bowel disease, slowing down the rate at which it progresses. It is produced when trimethyl reacts with blood or water vapor.
