Descrizione:
Alfalone is a saponin that inhibits protein synthesis. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be used as an adjuvant in the treatment of cancer. Alfalone is found in plants of the genus Alpinia and may also inhibit the synthesis of fatty acids, which are important for cell division. Alfalone also possesses a variety of other biological activities, such as inhibition of phospholipase A2, protein kinase C, and cyclooxygenases.
