Descrizione

Arteannuin B is a sesquiterpene lactone isolated from the roots of the Chinese herb, Arteannia paniculata. This compound has been shown to have anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities. Arteannuin B inhibits the tumor growth by binding to mitochondrial membrane potential and inhibiting matrix effect in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. This compound also increases the expression of monoclonal antibody IgG1, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the expression of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6.
