Descrizione

Alloisoimperatorin is a natural compound found in the roots of Angelica Dahurica. It has been shown to be effective in inhibiting cancer cell viability at low concentrations and has shown anti-inflammatory properties. Alloisoimperatorin inhibits tumor growth by binding to specific receptors that are only expressed on cancer cells, such as HLA-DRα. Alloisoimperatorin also binds to the fatty ester receptor, which is expressed on the surface of some cancer cells, but not on normal cells. When bound to this receptor, alloisoimperatorin may interfere with the metabolism of lipids and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Alloisoimperatorin also inhibits the growth of human leukemia HL60 cells during logarithmic phase, suggesting that it may be a potential treatment for leukemia.
