Descrizione

4-Aminophthalimide is a protonated aminophthalic acid derivative that is used as a fluorescence probe. It has been shown to be a photophysical and photochemical reagent that can be used in the study of intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions. The fluorescence of 4-aminophthalimide is enhanced by the presence of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and solvents such as water, alcohols, and hydrochloric acid. The fluorescence emission from this compound is dependent on its environment, which includes the presence of hydrogen bonding interactions with fatty acids.
