It can be used in the production of other products, such as viscosity modifiers, reaction products, and carboxylate esters. The chemical structures of trihexyl borate are similar to those of malic acid and fatty acids. Malic acid is found in fruits such as apples and grapes while fatty acids are found in animal fats or oils.
