Descrizione:Isopropyl n-octanoate is a pharmaceutical drug that is used as an absorption enhancer. It has been shown to increase the absorption of other drugs, such as phenytoin and morphine, by up to 10%. Isopropyl n-octanoate also has acidic properties. It reacts with hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate in water to form hydrogen sulfate and sodium chloride. Isopropyl n-octanoate is a monocarboxylic acid that contains one carboxylic acid group per molecule. The hydrogen atom of this group can be replaced by other atoms or groups, such as chlorine atoms, giving rise to different compounds called esters.
