Descrizione:2-Nonyn-1-ol is a fatty acid that is produced by the esterification of 2-nonyl alcohol. It has a short carbon chain and is an intermediate in the synthesis of other lipids. 2-Nonyn-1-ol has been shown to inhibit porcine pancreatic lipase, which is responsible for the hydrolysis of triglycerides, leading to increased levels of lipid droplets in adipocytes. This fatty acid also inhibits candida glabrata growth and oxygenation. The FTIR spectroscopy was used to confirm the presence of this compound in oil samples from various plant species.
