4-Bromobiphenyl is an organic compound that belongs to the group of ethers. It has a nitrogen atom in its structure, which can be substituted with hydrochloric acid or debrominated in the presence of hydrogen chloride. 4-Bromobiphenyl has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in a model system. This agent also binds to the amp-activated protein and can be used for wastewater treatment because it has been shown to be more efficient than other agents at removing biphenyl from wastewaters.
