Descrizione

Benzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde is a compound that has optical properties with a dihedral angle of 90°. This compound also has a functional group of imine, which can be found in the amino acid histidine. Benzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde has been shown to have cancer inhibiting properties by targeting the protease activity of at1 receptors. It inhibits the synthesis of protein and RNA by binding to them and preventing their production. This compound also inhibits the activity of proteases, which are enzymes that break down proteins. Benzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde is synthesized through metathesis reactions, which are reactions that involve the exchange of atoms between two compounds. The yield is isolated at about 95%.
