- 2-Fluoro-3-Bromopyridine
3-Bromo-2-fluoropyridine is a metabolite of the anti-tuberculosis drug, rifampicin. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of mammalian cell growth and can cause amine accumulation in human liver cells. 3-Bromo-2-fluoropyridine also causes cardiovascular disorders, depression, and dyslipidemia in mammals. This compound is an amide with chlorine atoms on both sides of the nitrogen atom. 3-Bromo-2-fluoropyridine has also been found to cause psychotic disorders in mice when administered at high doses for long periods of time.
