Descrizione:BAM-3200 is a small molecule with the chemical formula CHFOC(O)NHCHCOOH. It is a potent and selective agonist of the TrkB receptor, which binds to brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). BAM-3200 has been shown to have anti-cancer activity in mouse tumor models, as well as increased locomotor activity and improved memory retention in mice. The biological function of BAM-3200 is not yet known. Structural analysis shows that it binds to the hydroxyl group on mammalian tissue receptors, which may be due to its basic protein structure. BAM-3200 also has been shown to hydrolyze enzymes such as esterases, glucuronidases, or glutathione reductase. This agent has been shown to be selectively active against cancer cells by binding to their acidic surface structures and altering their acidity.
