Descrizione:1-Boc-2-piperidone is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the enzyme reuptake of serotonin in porcine kidney cells. It is also known to be active against tuberculosis and may have a safety profile similar to that of the natural product phosphite, which inhibits the enzyme phospholipase A2. 1-Boc-2-piperidone is an example of a potential drug candidate for the treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2. This compound has been shown to control blood glucose levels by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzymes, which are responsible for regulating cellular levels of cAMP and cGMP.
