Descrizione:6-Bromopyridin-2-ol is an isomeric organic compound that belongs to the group of triphenylphosphanes. It has a crystal x-ray diffraction pattern with a space group of P21/c and unit cell dimensions of a = 20.7, b = 23.1, c = 25.8 Å, β = 98.4°. 6-Bromopyridin-2-ol has been shown to react with 3-bromo-5-hydroxypyridine in the presence of light and heat to form 2-(3,5-dibromopyridin)-6-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine and 2-(3,5-dibromopyridin)-6-(methyloxymethyl)pyridine. These reactions are catalyzed by copper (II) acetate in acetic acid solution at room temperature or by naphthyl chloride
