Barium dihydrogenphosphate has been shown to be soluble in water, alcohols, ethers, chloroform, benzene, or acetone. The solubility data for this compound are given in parts per million by weight. This compound also has three functional groups: hydroxyl group (OH), cavity (C), and nitrate (NO3). Impurities can be treated by adding triazine and silicon. Barium dihydrogenphosphate decomposes into barium oxide (BaO) and hydrogen phosphide gas (H2P).
