Descrizione:2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol is a polyaromatic compound that has an inhibitory effect on cancer cells. It also has a low light absorbing property and can be used in molecular modeling. 2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol inhibits the activity of enzymes such as monoamine oxidase, alcohol dehydrogenase, and acetylcholinesterase. This drug is also used for the treatment of worms and other parasites. 2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol has been shown to have an anticancer effect in vitro by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in tissue culture with radiation or ultraviolet light. This drug also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNFα, which are associated with tumor progression. 2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol has been shown to bind to monoclonal antibodies that recognize a specific antigenic site on the surface of cancer cells
