Descrizione:O-Benzyl-dauricidin is an intermediate in the synthesis of methiodide, chloride and diamide. It is a stereoisomeric compound which can be used to produce either the meso or racemic form. The meso form is more stable than the racemic form. O-Benzyl-dauricidin is produced by condensation and cyclization of ethylene oxide and methylamine. This process can also be carried out using methylene chloride instead of ethylene oxide.
