Descrizione

Boromycin is a boron-containing natural product that has been shown to exhibit anti-infective properties against streptococcus species. Boromycin inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the active site of enzymes and inhibiting their activity. Boromycin has been shown to inhibit the enzyme activity of hydroxylase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of fatty acids, which is important for bacterial growth. Boromycin has also been shown to be effective against HIV, although its mechanism of action is not well understood.
