Brombuterol hydrochloride, a β-agonist, is used in analytical methods to detect and measure β-agonists in human urine. The drug has been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment and gold nanoparticle synthesis. Brombuterol hydrochloride also works as an immunosensor for the detection of β-agonists. It can be used as a matrix effect modifier for microextraction and it can optimize linear ranges. Brombuterol hydrochloride is also a mesoporous material that can be used in ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography.
