Descrizione:1-Bromoadamantane is a molecule that is used as an anti-inflammatory drug. It is a crosslinking agent that can be used to increase the thermal expansion and rigidity of polymers, such as polyurethanes. It also has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease. This compound also has been shown to inhibit the formation of antibodies and reduce the symptoms of autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease. 1-Bromoadamantane can be synthesized in three different ways: through a palladium-catalyzed coupling of a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid and an organic solution, hydrolysis of 1-bromoacetamide with hydrochloric acid, or by reacting acetamide with bromine in the presence of sodium hydroxide.
