Descrizione:3-Bromooxetane is a ring-opening reaction that is used to produce multifunctional molecules. 3-Bromooxetane reacts with tetrabromide and pre-existing functional groups to form a section. This section can be further reacted with nucleophilic reagents, such as sodium azide, to produce bioconjugates. 3-Bromooxetane has many other applications in organic chemistry as well as biomolecular chemistry. It is commonly used in the preparation of carboxylic acids or amines through the reaction of aldehydes or ketones with bromine. The compound may also be used to create alcohols by reacting with alcohols and hydrobromic acid in the presence of an acid catalyst.
