Descrizione:Boc-D-glu-OBzl is a tripeptide synthesized by chemoenzymatic methods. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme murein hydrolase, which is involved in the biosynthesis of bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan. Boc-D-glu-OBzl has potent antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium smegmatis. This compound also inhibits uptake of dyes by cells, which may be due to its ability to catalyze carboxylate groups on proteins.
