Descrizione:Butyryl chloride is an organic chemical compound that has been used as a research tool in the study of metabolic disorders. It inhibits the activity of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV), which causes the degradation of insulin and other incretin hormones. Butyryl chloride can be used to treat bacterial infections by inhibiting the growth of antibiotic-resistant strains, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Clostridium difficile. It also has been shown to have therapeutic potential for treating bowel disease, due to its ability to reduce inflammation and restore gut barrier function. This agent has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
