Descrizione:2-Bromoethyl chloroformate is a potent antitumor compound that is activated by hydrolysis to 2-bromoethyl alcohol. It is a prodrug that is metabolized in vivo to the active form, 2-bromoethyl alcohol, which inhibits DNA synthesis and cell division. The pharmacokinetic profile of 2-bromoethyl chloroformate has been studied in rats and mice with good bioavailability. In humans, the drug can be administered orally or intravenously. The parameters of absorption have not yet been determined for this drug because it has not been tested in humans yet.
