Descrizione:3-Bromo-4-fluorobenzoic acid is a reactive substance that can be used to make hypochlorites, dehydrating agents, and amides. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of acetals and formates. 3-Bromo-4-fluorobenzoic acid reacts with aluminum to produce hydrogen gas and aluminum chloride. With water, it forms hydrochloric acid and formaldehyde. 3-Bromo-4-fluorobenzoic acid reacts with potassium hydroxide to form potassium bromide and benzoic acid. It also reacts with formic acid to produce acetal or formate.
