Descrizione:7-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-quinoxalin-2-one is a fungicide. It is an alkylating agent that inhibits the growth of fungi by binding to DNA, thereby inhibiting transcription and replication. The compound is applied as a horticultural spray or soil drench for control of damping off, leaf spot, rusts and powdery mildews. 7-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-quinoxalin-2one has been shown to be effective against strains of fungi resistant to other fungicides, including quinoxalines, triazoles, and azoles. This compound also has been shown to have a protective effect on plants against sodium hydroxide injury.
