Informazioni sul prodotto
- 5-Bromo-4-Methylpyrimidine
5-Bromo-4-methylpyrimidine is a heterocyclic compound that is structurally similar to the drug L-dopa. It is a diasteromer of 4-methoxypyrimidine and can be used in the synthesis of other heterocycles. 5-Bromo-4-methylpyrimidine can also be used to produce formate, formamide and ammonium formate by reacting with ammonia in water. The reaction mixture may contain impurities like formic acid, hydrogen bromide, and ammonium hydroxide. This compound can also be used to synthesize drugs like 4-methoxyamphetamine (4MTA) by reacting with sodium tertiary butoxide and methylamine in an alkaline solution. The crystallographic structure of 5-bromo-4-methylpyrimidine was determined using X-ray diffraction data collected from a single crystal at room temperature.
