Descrizione:Benzyl glycine methyl ester hydrochloride is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the carboxyalkyl group. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the ribosome and blocking protein synthesis. Benzyl glycine methyl ester hydrochloride has been shown to be effective against bacteria in the urinary tract, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This drug also shows activity against Candida albicans and some strains of Candida glabrata. The molecule is insoluble in water, but soluble in piperazine or other organic solvents.
