- 4-Bromo-isothiazole
4-Bromoisothiazole is a brominated isothiazole that can be used as an inhibitor of biomolecular reactions. The most common reaction with 4-bromoisothiazole is the catalysis of aminophosphonates and thioureas to form phosphoramidates, which are intermediates in the synthesis of DNA. It has also been used to inhibit the regiospecificity of alkyl halides and the alkali hydrolysis of isothiazoles.
