Descrizione:5-Bromo-1,3-benzoxazole is a monomer that is insoluble in water and neutralized with an acid. It has anticancer activity and has been shown to depress the central nervous system. 5-Bromo-1,3-benzoxazole has been found to have antiangiogenic properties and can be used as an agrochemical for the control of weeds in rice paddies. This compound may also be used for the production of pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics. The anticancer effects of this compound are potent at low temperatures and it can be catalytically reduced to bromophenol, which is a precursor to other chemicals.
