Descrizione:2-Bromo-2'-nitroacetophenone is a photophysical reagent that reacts with amines. It can be used to modify nucleophilic functional groups, such as amino and hydroxyl groups, in molecules. The reaction products are quinoline derivatives. 2-Bromo-2'-nitroacetophenone is also used to synthesize oxindole compounds from fatty acid esters. This efficient method is useful for the synthesis of multigram quantities of these compounds. 2-Bromo-2'-nitroacetophenone has been shown to react with nitro compounds to form optical properties that are different from those produced by other reagents.
