Descrizione:Ro 5-3335 is a synthetic substance that inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), which is a cytokine that has been shown to induce choroidal neovascularization. Ro 5-3335 has synergistic effects with other drugs such as fluorescein, which can be used to study the progression of choroidal neovascularization in vivo. The anti-inflammatory effect of Ro 5-3335 may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of TNF-α by binding to TNF-α response elements on DNA. This drug also induces cell death by inhibiting growth factor or messenger RNA production or by acting on specific cells such as toll-like receptor 2 and 4.
