Descrizione:1-Chloro-3-nitrobenzene is a catalytic compound that is used in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the reduction of chloronitrobenzene, which is produced during the production of nitric acid and sodium nitrate. This reaction solution can be used in biological properties studies, with x-ray crystal structures showing its surfactant properties. 1-Chloro-3-nitrobenzene has also been shown to have toxicity studies with low mammalian toxicity. The reaction mechanism of this compound is currently unknown but it is believed to involve hydrogenation.
