Descrizione:2-Chloromethyl-1,3-dioxolane is a solvent that can be used in the treatment of wastewater. This compound has been shown to be able to integrate with other solvents and has been used in the treatment of chlorinated effluents. 2-Chloromethyl-1,3-dioxolane is also a good candidate for removing oxygenated compounds from wastewater, such as acetaldehyde. It is a cationic polymerization reaction product that can be used to produce polymers with high solute capacity and it can be used as a chromatographic stationary phase. The production of hydrochloric acid by 2-chloromethyl-1,3-dioxolane may have health consequences for humans. The use of this chemical in chromatographic science has not yet been studied.
