- 6-CHLORO (1H)INDAZOLE
6-Chloro-1H-indazole is a molecule that has shown antinociceptive properties in mammalian cells. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme gyrase, which is involved in the metabolism of nucleic acids and phosphatases, and also inhibits kynurenine hydroxylase, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of serotonin. 6-Chloro-1H-indazole has been shown to have hepatotoxic effects and may induce pancreatitis. It has been shown to be an analog for hycanthone and has been found to demethylate endoplasmic reticulum proteins. This drug also increases the production of hydrogen peroxide by myeloperoxidase and suppresses superoxide production by phagocytes.
