Descrizione:Cholinesalicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that blocks the production of prostaglandins. It is used to treat inflammatory bowel disease and as an analgesic in the treatment of mild to moderate pain. Choline, which is a component of this drug, has been shown to induce axonal growth and inhibit replication of viruses in vitro. The mechanism of action for its inhibition of viral replication may be due to its ability to block membrane channels and prevent the entry of virus into cells. Cholinesalicylate also binds with high affinity to cannabinoid receptors and can potentially serve as a novel therapeutic agent for diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
